fter graduating as an Illustration Major at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Dex began working with Stephen Sistilli at Rough Sketch Studio in Cherry Hill New Jersey. First starting as an intern, Dex quickly moved into the position of full time artist and production assistant. Thanks to Dex’s knowledge of computer graphics and Photoshop, he was able to expand the Studio’s bandwidth of illustration services. From there he created and assisted on various advertising campaigns and assignments for such clients as And 1 apparel, Synchrony Events, and the Disney Corporation.
In 2005, Dex started his comic career overseeing the production and creating artwork for the Arcana published comics, “Koni Waves”, “Velvet Rope” and “Daddy’s Little Girl”. His reputation as a superb comic production person kickstarted his freelance career. Soon Dex was handling the coloring and lettering for other publishers including Image Comics ( “Avengelyne“ ), Action
Lab Comics ( “Herald”, “Lovecraft “ and “Tesla” ) Haunted Pizza LLC ( “Viking Wolf”, “Black Owl” and others ) and Raven Desk Games. He’s currently providing coloring, lettering and production on the new comic series, “Tales of Blood Island” and “Beast of Blood Island” for the revitalization of that horror franchise.

led him to create a wide variety of artwork depicting his favorite subjects. Dexter is officially licensed by the Fox film corporation to depict the various creatures of his beloved “Alien” franchise. His artwork has been featured in the Painted In Blood “Art of…”book series including ones for “The Thing”, “Alien”, “Aliens”, “Ultraman” and others.
