Carl Paolino is a veteran of the entertainment industry. As a producer, director, screenwriter, and production designer, his credits include feature films, television series, music videos, Broadway shows, and several hundred television commercials. His animated productions include MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch (having creating over 400 puppets for the series), MTV’s Cartoon Sushi, and Celebrity Face-Off (another stop-motion animated TV series).
He wrote and directed the animation for The Halloween Pranksta short film with co-producer Mark Hamill, of Star Wars fame, and directed Mark during the voiceover recordings. He is currently developing a children’s book with artist, Richard Maurizio, based on that short film.
His other credits include Disney’s Hercules on Ice, Victoria’s Secret, Goosebumps the Musical, MTV’s 2000 Music Video Awards (having created a specialty costume for Jimmy Fallon), Saturday Night Live, Coca Cola’s and the NFL’s Monster of the Gridiron, and the prop antlers for the MTV Music Award Winning video, Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down, for Fall Out Boy.
As a comic creator, his company, Comic Book Kid Publishing, published, Spontania: Volume One, and Penny Poisonberry and the Gothic Kingdom. Spontania: Volume One is currently available on Amazon and IngramSpark.
He has a BFA degree from the School of Visual Arts and is an adjunct professor in the Film and Fine Arts Department.
