Pamela Ptak is a couture fashion designer, co-founder of the “Arts and Fashion Institute™” in Riegelsville PA & a designer on Lifetime TV’s Project Runway season 7. During Pamela’s casting, Tim Gunn called her work “...among the most beautifully constructed clothes I’ve ever seen” and said “I think you are on the cusp of something big.”
From 2003-2006 Pamela worked for Chado Ralph Rucci on 11 of his Paris Haute Couture and the NY Ready-To-Wear collections.
She’s shown her Ptak Couture collections in NYC & Philly Fashion Week.
She currently creates custom couture dresses & knitwear separates for private clients and has been frequently featured in Stitches magazine’s Couture Fashion Issue.
Pamela does couture draping & pattern making for emerging designers, produces entire sample lines for their runway shows and coaches NYC designers & their factories in couture workmanship.
For a challenge & for fun, she also designs elegant & elaborate cosplay costumes.
At the Arts and Fashion Institute™, Pamela shares boundless energy & enthusiasm helping students & designers develop their fashion talent and find their artistic voice. Her past students are now at the top 3 fashion schools in the US and working for noted designers in NYC & LA and even NASA.
Two of Pamela’s former students won the prestigious international “Arts of Fashion” competition in Paris, France.
