Louise Simonson has spent most of her life immersed in Horror, Superhero, Science Fiction and Fantasy Universes, editing, then writing tales of the heroes and monsters who inhabit them.
She edited Warren Publishing’s Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella anthology comics, then moved to Marvel Comics where she edited multiple titles including Star Wars, Star Trek, Conan, X-Men, and the New Mutants. There she created and wrote the award winning Power Pack series, and wrote the best-selling series X-Factor, New Mutants, and Web of Spider-Man and co-wrote the Wolverine/Havok graphic novel.
Her Jean Grey miniseries leads into upcoming X-Men storylines.
Her DC Comics work includes Superman: Man of Steel, featuring the acclaimed Death and Return of Superman Steel World of Warcraft and comics adaptions of the YA novels Wonder Woman: Warbringer and Catwoman: Soulstealer.
She has stories in the Star Wars, World of Warcraft, and even the Cartoon Network universes. Her co-creations—Apocalypse, Cable, Steel, and Doomsday --are featured in film and television.
She has written animation scripts and over forty-five books for kids and adults, many involving comic book heroes, and appears in numerous videos.
She is married to comics artist and writer Walter Simonson and lives in upstate New York.
