Hmmm, What's there to say about me? Where should I begin? Some would call me a dreamer of dreams, or a Badass Motorcycle chick, But you-you can call me Sammy Castillo. I am first and foremost 1/2 of an amazing illustration/creation team with my late husband Tommy Castillo.
Tommy has been published for 30 years so far and was one of the highest published artists on the planet. I was lucky and privileged to be married to him and have him as the love of my life. He also taught me everything he knew about art, art technique, philosophy, and business over the decade we spent together. I have been published for over 20 years in my own right.
We worked together in the industry and created some amazing art, which I still share with the world. I am also editor-in-chief at Scaretactix Comics, do custom welding for motorcycles, and last but not least, a writer.
Recently re-discovered myself as solo-creator. I have broken away from the "artist" title to Creator, because thanks to my late husband and mentor I have discovered that I can create anything in my head with anything I can get my hands on.
When I'm not riding my motorcycle or traveling to conventions, you'll find me live streaming on our Twitch channel Castillo Studios sharing a bit of what I was taught and a lot of what I learned on this crazy adventure we call life.
